Getting Started
My body fat percentage is much higher than the minimum requirements for the FBI or U.S. Marshals Service fitness tests, so my trainer at Post Oak Super-Sport set fat loss as an important goal and says weight training will also be necessary for the sit-up and push-up portions.
I haven’t tested myself for these tests yet because I’m worried I will injure myself or be discouraged, so I’m going to wait until about 2 weeks into my training. Now that I met with a trainer, I feel like I won’t be wandering around the gym like a lost lamb. My trainer gave me some homework: increase my cardio workouts from 15 minutes to 20 minutes. When I work out I try to wear a ratty T-shirt from law school to remind myself that if I can make it through law school, I can make it the extra minutes.
