My First 5K

At my first 5K I started off jogging, but my joints weren’t prepared for that kind of impact, and my tennis shoes are so old that it felt like I was running barefoot on concrete. It was a little intimidating when people were passing me, and there were two pretty steep inclines. Even though I had to walk several sections, I’m proud of myself for getting through it.

I’ve already signed up for my second 5K race, and my goal is to be able to run the whole thing (especially after I invest in some new shoes).
