A Learning Curve
Before one of my training sessions, I decided to start on some cardio to kill time before our appointment. It was my first time on a treadmill, so I pressed the quick start button and was reading about what else I could do while I looked around observing people. So many were using the treadmills not holding on, but I was scared to do that because I didn’t want to fall. I held on to the front bars for the whole 2 miles. I’m not sure how I did on time.
When it was time for my training that day, I got on a cycling bike used for spin classes and when I wanted to give up my trainer would remind me about the results I want, which kept me going. When I got off the bike I felt like I was walking on air, so I had to take a minute before starting on the free weights and exercises using a ball or a step. Before I met my trainer, I didn’t know if I’d get a strict, military-type person, but he’s not that way. He’s pretty calming and motivating but not intimidating.
